Republicans push to legalize silencers, sawed-off shotguns

PHOENIX (AP) -The Arizona Senate has given initial approval to a bill legalizing sawed-off shotguns, silencers and nunchucks.

Republican Sen. Kelli Ward of Lake Havasu City on Monday added an amendment legalizing the weapons and accessories onto a minor bill that restores a person's gun rights if a judge sets aside a guilty conviction.

Rep. Steve Farley of Tucson said Ward's amendment makes the bill less about helping people and more about legalizing weapons prohibited under Arizona law.

Senate Bill 1460 received initial approval Monday and now awaits a formal vote.

Oooh. Such a bad thing, that "freedom"! I mean, these guns would still fall under the National Firearms Act (NFA) and anyone wanting one would have to submit fingerprints and photographs and the gun would be registered right to them...and SO many people use NFA weapons to commit crimes, right? I think that the tally still stands at TWO since 1986.

But facts are like kryptonite to media hacks with a partisan agenda, aren't they, KPHO?

Petrified Forest

Just south of the Painted Desert proper, the road takes you through the Petrified Forest, a section of badlands where numerous prehistoric trees were trapped in swamp sludge about 225 million years ago. These trees were infused with minerals in the water, and over time, turned to stone. Now, current erosion processes are exposing them and they are all over this area for people to see and touch.

The Blue Mesa trail is a paved path that descends down into one of the valleys where the petrified wood is abundant. It's steep, but worth the climb.

Here's a big section of fossilized tree up on a "pedestal" of sorts as the ground around it has eroded away but the ground beneath it has not eroded yet.

It well all erode away eventually though, and then this section of fossilized wood will fall.

This pace was incredible, and well worth the half day that I spent here. If you're in the area, don't miss it.

The Painted Desert

I saw the sign for Petrified Forest National Park as I was shooting down I-40 in Arizona last month. I almost didn't stop, because I'd not heard of it before and it wasn't on my itinerary. But I was doing good for time, and the random drifting and exploration is what makes my road trips special, so I got off the highway and turned into the visitor center. What's a few minutes spent finding out what's here, eh?

It was one of the best decisions of my trip.

The north part of the park is a small loop that takes you out onto the edge of the Painted Desert.

This badland is about 120 miles long by 60 miles wide, and it runs clear up to the south edge of the Grand Canyon to the northwest. It's arid desert made of siltstone, a soft rock easily cut by water. It has a heavy iron and manganese content that gives it it's unique coloration.

Beautiful as it is, I kept imagining myself as a cowboy on a horse or a wagoner behind a team trying to cross this land back in the 1800s. The terrain is near impossible to move over and there's no water anywhere.

You can't go out into this desert unless it's on foot with a permit, but I wasn't equipped or in shape for that. All the average visitor can do is stay on the park road and enjoy the views from scenic overlooks. I figured that I'd buzz right through, but it's so spectacular that I couldn't stop taking it in.

Remember the Grand Canyon pics from last week where I pointed out the San Francisco Peaks? Well there it is from the other side, just 120 miles away. And it's barren, trackless desert the whole way.

Most of this desert is still Navajo Nation today.

In a couple of these, you'll see flat stretches that look like roads. They aren't. They're just dry washes where the water from the very infrequent rains channels itself briefly. You wouldn't want to be caught in one of those when that happens, because they can flash-flood immediately with any kind of significant rain.

I need to come back here when I've got more time and conditioning and hike out there for a few days.

Making gun owners look bad, one legislator at a time

Thank you, Senator Lori Klein.

Supposedly, because a reporter wanted to do a story on her carrying a pistol, first-term Arizona State Senator Lori Klein drew her pistol, engaged the laser sight, and pointed it at the report's chest. But it was ok, she reportedly said, because her finger wasn't on the trigger. And then she blamed the reporter for "sitting down in front of her pistol".

Klein added that during this demonstration, "the reporter came and sat down in the sofa in front of me, placing himself in the line of the laser sight,'' her statement says. Klein said she apologized but let him know he was safe "because I keep my finger out of the trigger guard.''

And she still doesn't seem to get that she did anything wrong.

We, the People, fight for our gun rights, and then along comes one of our public servants who proceeds to validate everything that the anti-gunners say about us. With friends like this, who needs Sarah Brady or the Democrats?

Tragedy in Arizona and a sad response.

In Arizona, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has been shot, along with at least 18 other people. One of the dead is a nine year old girl. The Honorable John Roll, federal judge has also been killed.

This is a tragedy that should be uniting all of America behind the victims here. Yet every single on-line commentary I peruse on news services and forums across the country is already filled with screeching posts by countless haters all trying to politicize this incident by linking it to the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and Conservatism in general...and we don't even know anything about the killer yet except that he's a reportedly 22 year old male.

At a time when we should be coming together to denounce evil and support the victims and the families, thousands of left-wing lunatics and political hacks are already trying to use this horrific event to advance their cause and slander their political opponents.

House Speaker Boehner says it very well: "I am horrified by the senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and members of her staff. An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve. Acts and threats of violence against public officials have no place in our society."

I agree with him. this is a time to be outraged, not to gleefully dip your fingers in the still-fresh blood and run around trying to smear it on your political opponents. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families tonight. And if you are one of those salivating haters who is already crowing about this incident and trying to use it to score partisan points, well then I pray for your soul, too.

It seems that the poor little criminals in AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio's tent jail are in for a few cold nights.

PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is used to dealing with extreme heat in his Tent City jail.

For the next few days, inmates will be facing severe cold weather instead. The overnight temperatures are expected to dip below freezing.

Inmates will have extra blankets for the next few nights, Arpaio said. They will also be issued pink thermal underwear to go with their standard pink boxers.

The tents used for the jail date back to the Korean War.

"The conditions here are mild compared to what happened in 1950 in 'frozen Chosin,'" Arpaio said, referring to the Korean War battle.

And I hope that each one of them, as he shivers under his blankets, thinks about someone that he knows who didn't do wrong and who is warm and comfy in a nice house or apartment somewhere.

Barry, Eric and Hillary declaring war on America again, and using American tax dollars to wage it.

The Obama administration plans to file suit challenging Arizona's immigration law, officials told Fox News on Friday.

The confirmation comes after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview with a TV station in Ecuador earlier this month that the administration would challenge the law in court, though officials had long said the issue was under review.

Administration officials initially would not confirm Clinton's statement. But an official told Fox News on Friday that while the review is still underway, the decision has already been made that a Department of Justice suit will be filed. The administration at this point is just building its case.

Clinton's announcement was met with outrage Thursday by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed the law. Brewer told Fox News she's ready for a fight.

"We are not going to back away from this issue," Brewer said. "We are going to pursue it, we're going to be very aggressive," Brewer said. "We'll meet them in court ... And we will win."

In the TV interview, Clinton was asked how the Obama administration was handling the debate over the law when she gave away what may have been an administration secret.

"President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy. And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act," the secretary of state responded, before calling for comprehensive immigration reform.

Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have both criticized the Arizona law, but the administration had maintained to that point that its attorneys were reviewing the legislation to determine the next step.

So aside from the fact that we have a Secretary of State who is a loudmouth--apparently giving away the Administration's plans before the Administration was ready to reveal them--we also see that their claims of "waiting for the lawyers to decide..." are lies as well--Barry and Eric's minds are already made up and they're going to declare war on Arizona no matter what the attorneys recommend.

Mexico's drug cartels and MS-13 must be very happy today. Their continued access to our communities has just been vouched for by Obama himself so they have no need to fear ICE or the law enforcement officers in America's heartland.
Most of America supports Arizona on this one however, according to the most recent poll conducted by the (extremely liberal) Washington Post. But then a majority of Americans were opposed to Barry's Stimulus plan and his health care plan too. He just doesn't care, and neither does his Oompa Loompa sidekick, Nancy Pelosi. They'll jam their agenda down our throats no matter how much that We, the People, object, until we rise up and stop them. November, 2010's the best chance for that, folks. If that fails, we may have to start loading magazines.

Obama the insult comic and his America-bashing pal Flippy.

First of all, it's bad enough that Barack Obama has been, since his coronation, the least patriotic president that America has ever seen. I mean, all he does is go around the world apologizing for our country's greatness, our culture that influences the world, and our history, which includes freeing more people from the yoke of oppressive governments than any other nation on the planet has ever even tried to free. The arrogant jerk has never, as far as I know, stood up and told the world what a fantastic country that America is or spoken of our liberties and freedoms and the opportunities that all are afforded here. Rather than defend our record on human rights and liberty--a record which is second to no other--he constantly beats his chest and apologizes to anyone who will listen, including third-world tyrants and the Communist Chinese. And sitting here listening to his hand-picked emissaries telling the Red Chinese that our record on human rights is shameful--and directly citing the people of Arizona and their new immigration law (a law which I believe that Obama still has not read) is nothing less than a malfeasance worthy of impeachment, IMHO. The guy was given the job of President of the United States, and that includes Arizona, last I looked. His job, quite frankly, is to stand up for the people of Arizona, not to castigate them on the world stage and insult them, and when they're disparaged, he should be the first one to defend them.

But alas, Barky doesn't have that sort of worldview. He's shown us over and over again that his preferred role is one of a critic, or an insult comic, and if America-bashing gets him in better with the other world leaders--especially the ones that are only respected by leftist college kids--well then he's on that like Rosie O'Donnell on a taco. Hell, he can't even dignify the office of the President by wearing a tie while conducting official business. I saw him on the news last night getting off of Marine One, and I noticed two things. First, he didn't even bother to acknowledge the Marine guards. Unlike Presidents Bush and Reagan, who almost always returned their salutes with at least a wave or a nod, B.O. just brushed right past these men--men who are undoubtedly a hundred times the men that he could even hope to be. And second--his collar was unbuttoned and he wasn't wearing a tie as he waved to the media cameras. Wow, but we've come a long ways since the days when President Reagan refused to even take his jacket off in the Oval Office.

Of course President Reagan would never have derided and mocked the citizens of a U.S. state like Obama has done to the people of Arizona. (Or Pennsylvania...remember his crack about bitter people clinging to their guns and religion?) And President Reagan would never have let a tinpot ruler like Felipe (henceforth pronounced "Flippy") Calderon come into our country and stand up not only at our White House but before a joint session of our Congress and rip into us for Arizona's laws which are intended to remove those illegally in that state--criminals who enter almost entirely from Mexico. And then as the Democrats give him standing ovation after standing ovation--and as Republicans refuse to stand up and walk out on him--he goes further and blames us for his country's crime, saying that our drug users and our gun laws are the big problem.

Well screw you, Flippy--while it's true that we do have a fair number of losers in our country who care more about getting high than they do about all of the people murdered or maimed by the drug dealers, the last I checked, we have TWO borders that drugs come over and CANADA has yet to produce these massive, violent drug cartels...no, Flippy--it's just your nation that's chosen that path. And our guns? Well if you really don't want our guns in yours country, then you should support a serious border fence just like most real Americans do. With a serious border betwen our countries, your drugs and citizens stay in your country, and our guns stay in our country. Sounds like a win/win, eh? I mean, the only way that you could oppose that idea would be if you received a greater benefit from the drugs and illegal aliens coming into our country than you do from our guns entering yours.

What's that?

Anyway, back on topic--only in an Obama-led America do we get people like Flippy Calderon coming here and telling us how badly we as a nation and a people suck while our President stands next to him, grinning like a fool. I wish Andrew Jackson was still president...Old Hickory would have likely busted Flippy in the mouth on the spot and then declared war on his sorry excuse for a country and taken it over. But Obama...no worries there. When he hears an America-basher winding up, he'd rather shuck and jive and scream "Right on!"

Two and a half more years of this moron... Sheesh. I can only hope that the fools who voted for him--or didn't show up to vote against him--have wised up by them. I also hope that we still have a country by then.

More "illegal lovers" weigh in on Arizona's new law.

Accoring to this story, the Phoenix Suns are planning on changing their team name to a Hispanic "Los Suns" to protest Arizona's new "get tough on illegal aliens" law.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will wear "Los Suns" on their jerseys in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals on Wednesday night, owner Robert Sarver said, "to honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation."

The decision to wear the jerseys on the Cinco de Mayo holiday stems from a law passed by the Arizona Legislature and signed by Gov. Jan Brewer that has drawn widespread criticism from Latino organizations and civil rights groups that say it could lead to racial profiling of Hispanics. President Barack Obama has called the law "misguided."

Phoenix general manager Steve Kerr said he and Sarver talked about making the gesture as the team flew home from Portland last week.

"We just felt like it was important," Kerr said. "We're in the public eye and this is obviously a huge issue. We acknowledge there are two sides to the issue and there are a lot of dynamics. It's a difficult thing to sift through and there are going to be differing opinions. But what we're focusing on is we want to celebrate the diversity that exists in our state and the diversity that exists in the NBA, make sure that people understand that we know what's going on and we don't agree with the law itself."

The NBA Players Association released a statement criticizing Arizona's immigration law and praising the Suns for the gesture.

"We applaud the actions of Phoenix Suns players and management and join them in taking a stand against the misguided efforts of Arizona lawmakers," the NBAPA said. "We are consulting with our members and our player leadership to determine the most effective way for our union to continue to voice our opposition to this legislation."

But Kerr said "this isn't a huge political stand as much as it is just a celebration of diversity."

He said the Suns called the NBA for approval "and they were all for it."

Suns coach Alvin Gentry didn't want to comment on Arizona's immigration bill and said he was focused on showing appreciation for the Latino community and Arizona's diversity.

"I'm not trying to duck it," Gentry said. "I don't know enough about it to really comment on it. I would think that if it had anything to do with racial profiling, then obviously as an African-American I would not be for anything that had any hint of racial profiling."

"It's going to be great to wear Los Suns," Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire said, "to let the Latin community know that we're behind them 100 percent."

Fuck you, you punk sell-outs. This isn't about diversity or supporting actual Americans or even hispanics that are here legally--it's about siding with illegal aliens, mostly from Mexico, who are trashing our country and the state of Arizona. The people of Arizona got fed up and decided to do something about it and now every self-described "celebrity" thinks that they naturally have veto power. Hey Suns...if Mexico is so great, why don't you move the team there? That'll sure show America, won't it? But I doubt they will. They're like all of the Hollywood loudmouths who said that they'd move out of America if we elected George W. Bush president in 2000. Hell, that's the main reason I voted for the guy--to get rid of untalented louts like Alec Baldwin.

Not to be outdone, ESPN's Jeff MacGregor--a putz masquerading as a sports journalist--penned a snarky column about the people of Arizona, apparently forgetting that he's paid to describe what's happening in sports and if we wanted political commentary, we'd not have to look far to find a ton of people much smarter and more insightful than he is...and most of them probably know more about sports reporting, too. Seriously, MacGregor, if you want to write for Salon, all you have to do is quit ESPN and go over there.

You know what? I'm going to that game. I have a Suns jersey and I plan on just walking down to the court and sitting on the bench. I will be an "undocumented player" and if they try to question my right to be there just because of my skin color (I'm white) my age (old) or my height (not quite basketball player stature)--or if they demand to see my papers (in the form of an NBA contract), then I'm sure that I can find any number of diversity-supporting audience members to march around the court in defense of my right to play.

OK, I'm getting pissed...

Frankly, I've had more than enough of the whines, complaints, threats and assaults that have come from those illegally in our country and the piss-poor excuses for Americans who side with them. We've seen Mexicans rioting in Phoenix, Arizona, attacking American police officers and vandalizing American public buildings just because the State of Arizona passed a new law to criminalize being in our country illegally and requiring the police to take action when they encounter someone that they suspect is not supposed to be here. So why are the Mexicans even in Phoenix? Last I checked, Phoenix was ours, not theirs. And if they don't like the fact that our legislators voted to enforce our laws, they are free to go home any time.

Screw them...and Damn them for making me agree with Pat Buchanan on something. He writes an excellent column on this law and the fact that we have every right to protect our own borders. He points out that even as jobs become scarcer and scarcer here, many are being filled not by Americans who want them but by illegal aliens. Ironically, career race-monger Al Sharpton is pledging to go to Arizona to lead a march on behalf of those illegals and their supposed "right" to be in our country despite our laws. One has to wonder how many unemployed black Americans could be working today but for all of the illegals who have cut in front of them in our own job marketplace. Way to look our for your base, Al...

And in Chicago, more idiots and illegal-lovers were arrested for blocking a deportation van carrying 70 other illegal aliens to the airport for removal.

And even up in Maryland, we've got more protests on behalf of an illegal alien who was ordered deported in 2004, chose not to leave, and is now facing forced repatriation to her own country after being arrested for another criminal act.

Florinda Fabiola Lorenzo-DeSimilian was arrested at her home last Tuesday for allegedly selling $2 phone cards without a license, a misdemeanor. Her fingerprints were taken when she was booked into the Prince George's County Correctional Center. Those prints were sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI forwarded them to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). There was a hit. Sources say ICE had placed a hold order on Lorenzo-DeSimilian in 2004 for overstaying her visa. She was released from jail last Friday pending a deportation hearing.

Last night, CASA of Maryland--a taxpayer-funded advocacy group for illegal freaking aliens--staged a protest outside the Prince George's County jail. About 60 members of the county's Latino community showed up to holler about the alleged "injustice" of us daring to enforce our own laws and blaming correctional officials for sending her fingerprints to the FBI.

I have to wonder why there wasn't an ICE bus over there to round them all up and check each one of their fingerprints. And why was she released when she has a history of not complying with court orders or showing up for removal?

Oh yeah...Obama is President. He wants these illegals all legalized so that there will be a new, large and permanent underclass to vote for Democrats. And he's not alone--there are plenty of sell-outs on Congress, including Rep. Luis Gutierrez, (D)-Chicago, who spends tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to fly all across America, ceaselessly advocating on behalf of illegal aliens from Mexico and fighting for virtually all things hispanic. (Imagine if there was a white Congressman or Senator who was an avowed champion of the white race...oh that's right--there is one. Robert Byrd, the former Klan leader, is the senior Democrat Senator from West Virginia, isn't he?)

But if you or I stand up for America and demand that our borders be closed to illegal crossings and those illegally here get sent home without regard for their country of origin, we get called "racist." Right.

Enough. Our country. OUR Country. Ours. It's time to stop this nonsense. I don't have a problem with our admitting immigrants from any country or region, especially those with needed skills, provided that they come through legal means, pass background checks, health screens and demonstrate an ability to speak our language and respect our culture. But this is our country, and we have a right to say who can or cannot come in, and how many people per year we'll allow in so as not to overtax our ability to assimilate them all. Mexico claims that right as they enforce strict immigration laws against those crossing into their nation from the south, yet they threaten us with boycotts for doing not even a fraction of what they do.

Mexico threatening us with boycotts? Telling Mexicans not to travel to Arizona? Excuse me, but that's like the late Michael Jackson threatening to not show up at your eight year old son's sleepover. What do we have to do to get them to boycott out other 49 states?

Frankly, I'm sick of this crap. It's a fight with America and every decent American on one side, and Mexico, 12 million illegal aliens, and a host of advocacy groups hostile to our country and our way of life on the other (including, as of this moment, the government of the City of San Francisco). There are even scattered calls for outright revolution by the illegals and their supporters against the rest of us.

Revolution? Armed insurgency by outsiders and disloyal Americans? Against my country?
If Lagniappe and I have to go down there in defense of our country and our heritage, we will do it, and you can be sure that we'll be bringing a boatload of whoop-ass with us.

I have to hope that America is waking up and strengthening in it's resolve to defend itself. These foreigners cannot be allowed to force their way into our country and claim citizenship en masse just because they want it. We need to put a stop to this crap before it gets out of hand, and the only way to do that is through more enforcement, more border security, more deportations, and sanctions against those who hire, hide, transport or otherwise give aid to those illegally in our country.

Hell, if the Mexicans, Salvadorans, Guatemalans and others who work so hard to get in here and steal identities so that they can take jobs, put their kids in our schools and fraudulently obtain benefits from our government had put half as much effort into trying to make their own countries into decent places to live, they wouldn't have any reason to want to come here.

One more Darwin Award nominee

Darrell Dunafon gets this nomination. He and two idiot friends began the night by committing a felony when they broke into a cell phone tower site in Arizona. They apparently thought that it would be fun to climb the tower and skydive from it--something known as BASE jumping. BASE stands for Building Antenna, Spans, Earth. It's a form of skydiving where the adventurous types try to jump from things and places--usually things and places that do not belong to them and which are not set up for jumping from. It usually entails a criminal act like trespassing, and it involves significant risk even if done right. Well Dunafon didn't do it right.

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Tucson man has died after parachuting from a cell phone tower at night and hitting high-voltage power lines.

Pinal County sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar says 23-year-old Darrell Dunafon and two friends broke into a cell tower site about 30 miles south of Phoenix on Friday night and were parachuting off the approximately 400-foot-tall antennae.

Dunafon's parachute became tangled in nearby 12,000-volt power lines and he was shocked with a live wire.

Villar says the two friends called for help, and rescue crews turned off the power and cut Dunafon down. He had a slight pulse but was pronounced dead at a hospital in the nearby town of Casa Grande.

Dunafon was a Tucson resident who recently moved to the southeast Phoenix suburb of Queen Creek.

Shocking.

Way to go, moron. All you had to do was respect the signs that said "Danger--Keep Out." and you'd likely still be alive today. But no...you had to go out doing a human bug-zapper act.

Here's hoping that at least a few people will think before doing something dopey. You only have one life; don't end it just for kicks.

Bedwetting liberal travel writer won't go to Arizona any more

Say it ain't so!

Arthur Frommer, some travel writer that I admittedly have never heard of before, now says that he won't go to Arizona any longer because that state allows people to (Gasp!) carry guns in public and he fears that he might get killed.

Yeah, ok. Whatever. Apparently he's not noticed the massive disparity in violent crime rates between Arizona and other places where law-abiding citizens can carry guns and places like New York City--his own chosen city of residence--where law-abiding citizens are disarmed by law and the criminal class has a monopoly on the use of force. Of course anyone who reads his column will figure out that his proposed boycott has more to do with his slavish devotion to Barack Obama than anything else, but still...

So he boycotts Arizona. I'm sure that the people of Arizona are all heartbroken that he won't be visiting them any time soon. That's gotta be like finding out that Pee Wee Herman and Richard Simmons can't make your Super Bowl party.

Fuck Aurthur Frommer. and same goes for his travel business. Personally I would have a hard time trusting the recommendations of some old guy who really thinks that I and my family (and dog) would actually be safer in Central Park after dark than on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Another bad American busted

This election has seen unrivaled illegal activity in the area of suppression of public speech in support of candidates. All across the country, signs have been stolen, set afire in people's yards and shot at. In Michigan, a scumbag pizzaria owner named Diana Franzoni was offering free pizza to anyone who brought in McCain/Palin signs. People trying to peaceably express their point of view have been the victims of vandalism, threatened boycotts and other forms of serious harassment. And almost every single time, when a perpetrator can be identified, it's a Democrat like Lori Lieberman.

An Arizona State University student caught stealing campaign signs that carry political messages opposing two Democratic legislators confessed that she did so at the behest of the school's Young Democrats organization, according to a memo from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

Lori Lieberman has yet to be arrested or charged with any crime, Tempe police said, although an investigation is ongoing.

County detective Tim Miller's memo to his superior describes how he found Lieberman removing campaign signs at the intersection of Baseline and Rural roads on Friday. She also had seven signs in the trunk of her car, Miller said.

The signs contended Sen. Meg Burton Cahill and Rep. Ed Ableser are for opening the border with Mexico. The sign maker for the Democrats' Republican challengers has posted the small red-on-white placards throughout Legislative District 17 in Tempe.

Miller said Lieberman told him she was a member of the Young Democrats and that its members had been told to collect signs.

Now, the sign maker is convinced Lieberman was acting on orders from the honorary chairman of the Arizona Young Democrats: Ableser.

"Who are they to decide who gets heard?" Jim Torgeson said. He said he wants to press charges against Lieberman, unless she reveals who told her to steal the signs.

"As with any group, you've got to hold somebody accountable," Torgeson said.

Lieberman could not be found for comment. Her profile on Classmates.com lists her as a sophomore from Las Vegas who is majoring in education.

Well I want to see Lieberman charged and convicted, hopefully of something that keeps her from getting hired as a teacher, because I don't want someone like her in a position where she can influence kids.

I'll go farther. I want all of these people identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This sort of terrorism--and that's exactly what it is--is aimed at destroying the will and ability of Americans to express their political views, and if unchecked, it may not be long before the only "approved" points of view that anyone can express will be those which are pro-Democrat. remember how all those Germans had to express love and support for Hitler or risk a trip to a concentration camp? Well if the Obamaniacs aren't checked and this behavior of theirs isn't stopped, we may see that sort of stuff here in America before long. and this, folks, is why I'm finally supporting the McCain/Palin ticket. It's because people who act like this and/or condone such acts cannot be allowed to win. People who say "God damn America" or who tried to blow up the Pentagon, they can't be allowed to win either. America-haters like Louis Farrakhan, George Soros, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Moammar Khadaffi and others--all of whom have expressed their hope that Barack Hussein Obama becomes our next President--cannot be allowed to win.

So please stand with me against all of these horrible people. Stand up for America on November 4th. Vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin as I already have done and throw it in the faces of those who would take away the voice of anyone that they can publicly identify as a non-Democrat.

And for the record, I'll condemn this type of action and call for punishment for offenders regardless of who does it or why. Freedom of Speech is paramount to our way of life, and I'll stand in support of the right of any law-abiding American to express his or her views in a peaceable manner even when I don't agree with those views.

A Mexican woman broke her ankles early Tuesday scaling the border fence in Douglas.
At 2 a.m., a Border Patrol agent working near the international line east of the Douglas port of entry on Jefferson Avenue heard faint yelling for help, said Mike Scioli, Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman.
The agent found a woman who appeared to have injured her ankles. She was alone, he said.
The agent stabilized her and called for paramedics. When paramedics arrived, the 35-year-old woman from Guanajuato, Mexico, lost a pulse below her left ankle, prompting officials to call for a medical helicopter, Scioli said.
She was flown to University Medical Center in Tucson for treatment on the two broken ankles. Her condition is unknown.

So we, the taxpayers and citizens of this country, pay money to build a border fence to keep foreign nationals, including drug runners and terrorists, from crossing into our country from Mexico. Maria the illegal alien thumbs her nose at our laws and our national sovereignty then climbs over the fence that we put up to keep her out and injures herself, and now we, the taxpayers, have to pay for her to get a helicopter ride and first-rate treatment at an American hospital. It just never ends.

What's it going to take to get to the point where illegals who get hurt trying to invade our country are just turned over to Mexican authorities or transported directly to a Mexican hospital? But hey--it's only money. OUR money. Maria won't ever get a bill, much less pay it. We'll pay it. Or the hospital will have to eat it. And this goes on every single day, all along our border.

Illegals refused to evacuate before hurricane
Claim government didn't do enough to assure aliens they wouldn't be deported

Illegal aliens decided to stay in New Orleans and tough out the storm, rather than board buses and trains and risk arrest by immigration authorities.

Even though officials promised not to check their status if they evacuated, many illegals did not accept the offer before Gustav struck, the Associated Press reported.

Carlos Mendoza, a 21-year-old Honduran, stayed behind with seven other people in a small apartment.

"We know that people died during Katrina, but we had no choice but to stay here," he told reporters. "Many stayed because of fear. I would say at least 50 percent of us."

Mendoza said he and his illegal alien friends feared arrest and deportation.

There are an estimated 30,000 illegal aliens in New Orleans, according to the AP report. The city became a hot zone for illegal immigration after hurricane Katrina left parts of it in ruins in 2005. A massive reconstruction effort attracted men from Mexico and Central America.

Pablo Alvarado, director of the National Day Labor Organizing Network, told reporters the recent crackdown on illegal immigration has made many aliens uneasy about the risks of traveling – even when offered free rides by authorities during an emergency evacuation.

"Moving around has become very difficult for undocumented workers," Alvarado said.

A day labor organizer with the New Orleans Workers Center for Racial Justice, Jacinta Gonzalez, said Hispanic communities have been scarred by increasing immigration raids and did not evacuate.

When they were told they would have to register to board the buses and trains, they grew more apprehensive. The procedure included ID wristbands to track evacuees by computer. Gonzalez said the officials didn't do enough to guarantee illegal aliens that they wouldn't be deported.

"The government didn't give people assurances that they would be returned to New Orleans," she said. "Just sending out press releases the day before the evacuation isn't going to work."

Honduran Santiago Gradiz, 61, accepted a ride to Houston with other illegal aliens. He told the AP they left early to avoid immigration checkpoints.

Gradiz and 10 friends have taken shelter in a one-bedroom apartment until they think it is safe to return. He said they are waiting for extra police and soldiers to leave New Orleans.

"Luckily I had some money from working the day before moving furniture," and was able to help pay costs of the trip, he told the AP.

Illegal alien Jose Gordillo, 50, said he and his sons braved the storm in their rental home.

"It's been a few weeks since we got work, so we didn't have the money to leave," Gordillo said. "I felt a little panicked during the storm, but with God's help we made it."

So they're now somehow "victims" because our government refused to pinky-swear not to send them back to their own countries as they sit around planning ways to evade our law enforcement officers. What do you want to bet that if one of these apartment buidlings full of illegals got flattened by the storm, we'd be sued by lawyers paid by the Mexican government who would argue that we breached some duty to these trespassers.

Spoiled Daddy's girl gets pinched for speeding 22 times in 45 days.

According to this story out of Scottsdale, AZ, Jennifer Bitton just learned the hard way that speed limit signs aren't merely suggestions after getting photographed speeding by speed enforcement cameras 22 times in less than two months.

Jennifer Bitton, of Las Vegas, described by authorities as a "habitual speeder," was arrested by Department of Public Safety officers at her parents' home in north Scottsdale on Friday and booked into the Scottsdale City Jail on suspicion of two counts of criminal speeding, reckless driving and one count of endangerment, DPS announced Tuesday.

Bitton told officers she "didn't know cameras were there." She was flashed 22 times in a 45-day period beginning in mid-May. The fastest speed she was clocked at in her Ford Mustang was 92 mph, according to the agency.

If convicted of the criminal speeding, Bitton would face mandatory jail time and have to pay several thousand dollars in fines for all the tickets, according to Bart Graves, spokesman for DPS.

"Photo enforcement exists to help slow people down, thereby ensuring the safety of everyone on the road. Sadly, some drivers have no regard for the safety of others as they continue to recklessly speed," said Roger Vanderpool, DPS director, in a written statement.

Well there's a good excuse: "I didn't know the cameras were there."

Man, with an excuse like that, you know that she's not just putting this clueless look on her face for the mug shot... it's real. No wonder she still lives with her parents, or at least has her car registered at their home. Betcha they paid for that Mustang she was speeding in, and probably her insurance too. The spoiled kids of rich people such as one finds in Scottsdale often think that they're above the laws, which only exist to keep us "little people" in line. Well enjoy the wake-up call, Jennifer. And enjoy your 15 minutes of fame, doled out little by little each time a prospective employer Googles you on the web.

But it keeps getting better. Apparently little Jennifer isn't even the area's worst offender.

Although Bitton holds the record for being flashed by the cameras DPS began overseeing the photo enforcement program in July 2007, she does not come close to another driver.

From March 2, 2006, to July 31, 2006, Francesca Cisneros of Chandler, then 32, threw away more than 70 speeding notifications she received on Loop 101 in Scottsdale in her Honda Civic. At the time of her arrest, she told police she said she didn't think anything would happen to her if she threw away the tickets.

In a plea agreement reached Oct. 23, 2006, Cisneros had to pay $10,022 in fines and spend five days in jail.

More on Francesca, the other spoiled brat and apparently unrepentant bad driver, who is probably lucky that she hasn't killed anyone yet. And she's supposedly a mortgage broker. Would you trust someone that irresponsible with your mortgage? Not me...

But justice has a way of catching up eventually.

"There are rules for a reason, I understand that," Francesca Cisneros says of photo enforcement. "But it's such an annoying nuisance. The whole thing is about money."

In mid-August, the state Motor Vehicle Division suspended her driver's license. And the police came looking for her one day at her mortgage office when she wasn't there. When she called the number on the card they left, a detective asked her to come down to the station to talk. She did — and was promptly thrown in the clink.

"Like a jackass idiot I went down there without a lawyer," she says.

She was released two days later after promising to appear for her court date.

The number of tickets set a record in Scottsdale, and Cisneros was suddenly all over TV news and the Internet, complete with her mournful mug shot.

A plea deal with prosecutors put her in Scottsdale's city jail again, for another five days. Her driving privileges were restricted, and she was ordered to pay more than $10,000 in fines.

Cisneros, who has a bachelor's degree in marketing, complains that she was devastated by the way the media made her look so foolish. She says she turned down interview requests from Inside Edition and CNN.

"It was horrible — the most embarrassing thing ever," she recalls.

Much of the media's focus then was on how ridiculous it was for anyone to think they could ignore photo tickets.

"She threw them away because she thought nothing would happen to her," KPHO-TV's Jason Barry told his audience on August 11. "She was wrong."

Ah, idiots. The world would be a boring place without so many of them.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio 8, Illegal Aliens and ACLU 0

This story really began a couple of months ago when Pruitt's Furniture in Phoenix, Arizona hired off-duty sheriff's deputies to keep day laborers--most of whom were suspected illegal aliens--off it's property. The day laborers were doing what day laborers always seem to do--drinking and urinating in public, using profanity towards passers-by, and otherwise scaring off the store's actual customers. So the store sought help and got it. Off-duty deputies chased the day laborers off and on-duty deputies managed to arrest 24 illegal aliens for traffic and other offenses near the store.

So what happens whenever American values and law and order start to win? The ACLU crawls out from under a rock. And this time that communist party front group helped a few illegal-alien advocacy groups set up protests in front of the store, a move designed solely to further harm the store's business. And every Saturday for the past six weeks, they've gathered at Pruitt's Furniture to try to shut the store down.
Well Sheriff Arpaio doesn't play, nor does he sit back while hostile groups comprised of people who aren't even supposed to be in our country do their best to shut an American-owned business down. This past week-end, he arrested eight of the protesters on suspicion of being in our country illegally.

"I thought it was time to do something more about it," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said. "The Pruitt's situation is getting out of hand. They are demonstrating every week and destroying this business. I don't think that's fair."

His deputies have also arrested ACLU legal director Daniel Pochoda for trespassing after Pochoda reportedly refused to move his car off from Pruitt's Furniture's property. (Another example of how the ACLU only supports some rights for some people.) Ideally, all of the arrested illegals will be deported and in a perfect world, Pochoda would be deported along with them.

I support Sheriff Joe and I'm sure that many of you do too. Spread this news around and let's hope that other municipalities start following suit.

Whose schools? I guess it's their schools.

OK, now I'm mad. To quote Larry the Cable Guy, I'm madder than a skinhead watching The Jeffersons.

A couple of days ago in Tucson, Arizona, police were called to a local high school because a student was caught with marijuana in his back pack. (story here) The school notified police, who in turn called his parents. The parents showed up and the police determined that they and the pot-head and two other kids were all in America illegally. So they called Border patrol, who scooped them all up and dropped them off in Mexico where they belong. (They actually held the father for formal deportation because he'd been busted several times before illegally entering our country. Talk about a complete lack of respect for our laws.)

OK, this made me happy.

But then today comes this story, where now, Tuscon Police department and the schools are apologizing and promising not to summon Border patrol to schools any more. Why? because a bunch of kids--all with hispanic surnames, according to the newspaper story--led a protest march where they chanted in spanish and demanded "Migra" (spanish for "Immigration officers") out of "their" schools.

First of all, those aren't their schools. They belong to the taxpaying American citizens. That means the grown-ups who have jobs. Not the kids who are there to be educated, and definitely not the kids who are here illegally. And we know that many of them are, because the kids themselves complain that they don't feel "safe" going to school with the possibility of Border Patrol or ICE showing up. Obviously, the only ones with any reason to feel unsafe are those who are here illegally and I don't want them feeling safe. I don't want them here at all! Go home, and you'll be perfectly safe back in your own countries!

But that aside, I have nothing but contempt for the American public officials who caved in, and caved not to US taxpayers but to a bunch of illegal alien kids. Here. In OUR country.

Arizona crackhead judge ok's illegal aliens carrying guns.

File this under "you gotta be kidding" but Arizona Judge Ann Scott Timmer just handed down a ruling that says that Arizona's prosecutors cannot bring charges against illegal aliens who are carrying guns in our country (in addition to being here illegally) unless they also prove that the gun was used or shipped in interstate commerce.

This warped ruling came down in the case of Israel Perez, an illegal alien from Mexico who had already been deported three times, each time sneaking back into our country. This time he was caught packing a gun and prosecutors in Maricopa County charged him with being a "prohibited possessor" pursuant to state law which forbids those illegally in the country from possessing weapons. per a report in the Arizona Daily Star,

Federal law already makes it a crime under some circumstances for people here illegally to possess weapons. But legislators were told in 2004 that meant it was up to federal agencies to decide whether to bring charges. This statute was aimed at letting local police and prosecutors handle the cases.
In this case, Perez was stopped earlier this year by Mesa police after he was observed speeding and weaving through traffic. He was arrested when he failed to produce identification and instead gave officers what appeared to be a phony Mexican driver's license.
A search found a .38-caliber revolver in the center console. A fingerprint check found that Perez had been deported three prior times, each time returning with a different identity. That led to the weapons charge.
Timmer said the federal law mentioned in the state statute specifically deals with illegal entrants who have weapons that have been "shipped or transported in interstate commerce."

Thanks Judge. Thanks for boning the rest of us and giving illegal alien gang members and criminals a reason to smile. With friends like you on the bench, America doesn't need any foreign enemies.

It may not be treason, it's sure as HELL Un-American

According to this outrageous story, Desert Schools Credit Union in Mesa, Arizona, is now courting illegal aliens and offering to allow them to open bank accounts, even though they don't have social security numbers and aren't supposed to be in the county. Clearly putting their own financial bottom line ahead of any obligation that they feel towards our country's laws and the people who are adversely affected by illegal aliens, Officials at Desert Schools Credit Union say the potential reward - thousands of new customers - justifies the risk of angering a few customers.

Emma Garcia, Desert Schools director of community development,is trying to assure illegals that the bank will not tell the government that they are here illegally.

"They're afraid that that institution will partner with the Department of Homeland Security and report to them who's in an undocumented situation or not," Garcia said. "We're not going to be required to notify an agency if we find out they're undocumented. We're not required by law to do that."

The credit union offers reassurances that account holders will still have access to the funds, even if they're deported, Garcia said.

This is just great. Screw the rest of us who have to pay the bills when these illegals rack up hospital bills, have accidents without insurance, and idle away their time in American jails or on American welfare. All that matters to cretions like Garcia is that her bank can profit somehow.

I honestly wish that I had an account there just so I could cancel it.

Illegals are at it again

Now the illegals are tangling with Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the man who keeps order in Maricopa County, AZ by putting prisoners in tents in the desert, making them wear pink underwear, and bringing back chain gangs for women. Arpaio has also been arresting illegal aliens and cherging them with conspiracy for smuggling themselves into our country. And in reasponse, illegals marched in front of his office and warned him that unless he respected the hispanic community, they would oust him at the polls.

Amazing. People who aren't evewn supposed to be in our country threaten our elected officials and insist that they--the illegals--will vote our public servants out of office unless we give them their way.

Georgia's legislature continues to pass legislation requiring that anyone who shows up to cast a vote and have a say in our governing ourselves must show identification to prove that he or she is in the country legally and actually entitled to vote. But it's been thwarted by a leftist judge and critics who make the phony argument that there are people out there who want to vote but cannot afford to get an ID card or make a trip to a government office to get one.

Let's be real. The only people in Georgia or anywhere else in this country who cannot produce photo identification of some sort are illegals and those people who only exist on election day to cast ballots in the names of people long dead or moved away.

Not suprisingly, all of the challenges against the Voter ID law are Democrat or groups that support the Democrats entirely. Jimmy Carter is right in there condemning this law as "racist" but then he thinks that Hugo Chavez, Venezuelan dictator, is a nice guy. It's sad to see our former President losing his mind to senility but even sadder to see his handlers use him as a prop on issues like this.
