So here we have Jose Manuel Marino-Najera, one of Obama's "DREAMers"...just here to work, right? And this nice gang of drug smugglers offered to help him get into our country if he'd just carry some of their dope...
And now he's suing us all because, while he was here illegally, bringing dope into our communities, a Border Patrol dog bit him.
Man who crossed border with drugs sues U.S. after claiming Border Patrol K-9 mauled him
First of all, I don't buy his story for a second. Just sleeping when a dog walked up and began chewing on him? Doubt it. That's not how police K-9 dogs work. But the real bite here is the fact that this guy, after being convicted of his part in the drug smuggling and serving six months in jail for it, was never deported and is still in our country! (Thanks Obama and Boehner!)
And sincesewage flows downhill, it's not surprising that he'd find fellow scumbag attorney Bill Risner, who appears to be only too happy to turn on his country and help enrich a border-hopping, drug-smuggling foreign national.
In a perfect country, we'd have a huge border fence running the entire length of our border with Mexico, and we'd have some big catapults to flip illegals like Marino-Najera back over the fence and into Mexico again after they finish their jail terms...and sell-outs like Risner and the losers who buy narcotics would get tossed, too.

Bizzaro land on the border...
A Border Patrol Agent is JAILED for TWO YEARS for allegedly roughly-handling an illegal alien caught smuggling drugs into our country, meanwhile the illegal--who wasn't even injured--gets amnesty in return for testifying against the lawman.
I'd say "Only in Post-Obama America" but Bush's so-called "Justice Department" did the same thing to our border protectors more than once.
How are we ever going to get our border territory under control and stop the flow of criminals, terrorists, drugs, and maybe even weapons of mass destruction from coming across if we keep jailing the good guys and rewarding the bad guys with free passes and amnesty? Is it any wonder that the border states are so intent on acting to keep illegals out, since everyone knows that our federal government's first loyalties are to Mexico and the Hispanic voting bloc? And with our states being sued by our Washington administration every time they try to solve these problems, how long before we start seeing American citizens down on the border taking up arms to do what our federal "public servants" refuse to do?
I could be tempted to support that or even join in if this stuff doesn't stop.

So Mexico is angry...
because some of their delinquents attempted to invade our country and attacked our law-enforcement officers with rocks and one of them got shot.
Oh--and a "40mm casing"? I think not. .40 caliber, perhaps, but not 40mm.
Edited to add: Seems as if this little angel was a known smuggler and on a "most wanted" list. It hardly appears likely that he was just "hanging out" as his relatives claim, or taking a short-cut to choir practice.
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico – A U.S. Border Patrol agent fatally shot a 15-year-old Mexican boy after a group trying to illegally enter Texas threw rocks at officers near downtown El Paso, U.S. authorities said Tuesday. The article then goes on to quote outraged relatives of the dead rock-thrower who naturally accuse our Border Patrol officers of murdering the rock-thrower and wailing that they've now been "left with nothing". I guess that they meant that now there will be no one left to smuggle dope into America or sneak over and steal American cars or commit other crimes before scurrying back to sanctuary south of the border. And predictably, Mexican officials demand that American officials do their bidding.
The shooting, which happened Monday evening beneath a railroad bridge linking the two nations, drew sharp criticism from Mexico, where the government said Tuesday that "the use of firearms to repel attacks with stones represents disproportionate use of force, particularly coming from authorities who have received specialized training."
It was the second death of a Mexican at the hands of Border Patrol officers in less than two weeks, and the case threatened to swell into a full-blown international incident when U.S. and Mexican officials traded suggestions of misconduct.
Arturo Sandoval, a spokesman for the Chihuahua Attorney General's office, said a spent 40-mm shell was found near the body — raising the question of whether the fatal shot was fired inside Mexico, although he did not explicitly make that suggestion. That would violate the rules for Border Patrol agents, who are supposed to stay on the U.S. side of the border.
A U.S. official, meanwhile, said video shows the Border Patrol agent did not enter Mexico.
The official, who agreed to discuss the matter only if not quoted by name, said the video also shows what seem to be four Mexican law enforcement officers driving to the edge of the dry but muddy bed of the Rio Grande, walking across to the U.S. side, picking up an undetermined object and returning to Mexico near the area where the boy's body was. Like their U.S. counterparts, Mexican law officers are not authorized to cross the border without permission.
According to the FBI, Border Patrol agents were responding to a group of suspected illegal immigrants being smuggled into the U.S. near the Paso Del Norte bridge, across from Ciudad Juarez around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
One suspected illegal immigrant was detained on the levee on the U.S. side, the FBI said in a statement. Another Border Patrol agent arrived on the concrete bank where the now-dry, 33-feet (10-meter) wide Rio Grande is, and detained a second suspect. Other suspects ran back into Mexico and began throwing rocks, the FBI said.
At least one rock came from behind the agent, who was kneeling beside the suspected illegal immigrant who he had prone on the ground, FBI spokeswoman Andrea Simmons said.
The agent told the rock throwers to stop and back off, but they continued. The agent fired his weapon several times, hitting one who later died, said the FBI, which is leading the investigation because it involved an assault on a federal officer. The agent was not injured, Simmons said.
Border Patrol Special Operations Supervisor Ramiro Cordero said preliminary reports showed Border Patrol agents on bicycle patrol "were assaulted with rocks by an unknown number of people."
Mexico's Foreign Relations Department said it "energetically condemns" the shooting and demanded "an expeditious and transparent investigation of the facts and, if applicable, punishment of the guilty."As far as I'm concerned, the only guilty parties left unpunished here are the other rock-throwers who didn't get shot. Not a single Mexican has anything to be angry over, since none of this would have happened had not the deceased and his pals set out to attack American law-enforcement officers on American soil. Frankly, it's precisely because of stuff like this than most of us want our border secured--Americans want protection against this sort of thuggery from Mexico's criminals. And if Mexicans don't want to be shot by our Border Patrol Agents, all they need to do is stay away from our border unless they're coming in legally with honest intent and everyone's problem will be solved.
"Mexico is aware of the existing risks in the region, but, according to international standards, lethal force must be used only when the lives of people are in immediate danger and not as a dissuasive measure," it said.
The department said its records indicated the number of Mexicans killed or wounded by immigration authorities rose from five in 2008 to 12 in 2009 to 17 so far this year, which is not half over.
T.J. Bonner, president of the union representing Border Patrol agents, said rock throwing aimed at Border Patrol agents are common and capable of causing serious injury.
"It is a deadly force encounter, one that justifies the use of deadly force," Bonner said.
The violence in Mexico combined with assaults on Border Patrol agents in the U.S. has increased the level of apprehension agents have about their safety, Bonner said.

Texas. Gov. Rick Perry is a...
Well you fill in the blank. Words honestly fail me after reading this story.
Again, the question isn't "how are they going to perform in [American] high schools...it's "why are they even in American high schools? Every kid there illegally and improperly dilutes the quality of education that our kids get...especially when the schools have to start repeating half of the lesson in Spanish every day. And someone please tell me why we should spend dollar one on giving Mexican or OTM kids any sort of advanced degree when they cannot even legally get jobs in America? And it's especially ludicrous when you consider that 17% of American workers today are unemployed or under employed, and here we are, trying to make outsiders competitive with those Americans in our own tight labor market!!!
Rick Perry is contemptible and a sell-out. WHY did Rick Perry's primary opponent have to be one of those nut-job 9/11 truther types?
Screw it--I'm moving to Texas and running for Governor. Then I plan to invade Mexico and set up a 100-mile wide buffer zone south of the Rio Grande which will separate my state and the rest of Mexico.
Maybe then at least, we'll have education money and classroom space sufficient for our own kids, and we won't have to put up with this or this on a continual basis.
Oh--and Mexico? Fly one more of those Mexican military helicopters over my border and see if you get it back.
It's times like this that I really miss President Eisenhower.
DALLAS (AP) — More than 12,000 illegal immigrants, non-permanent residents or non-U.S. citizens paid in-state tuition or received other such financial aid at public colleges and universities across Texas during late 2009, the Dallas Morning News reported Monday.$33.6 million that did not benefit American citizens, although they were all taxed to raise it.
The figures from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board show about 1 percent of all Texas college students, in the fall semester, benefited from a 2001 law granting such in-state tuition.
The law says students who are not U.S. citizens and want to seek the assistance must have attended school in the state for at least three years before they graduate from a Texas high school. Students also must file an affidavit saying they plan to seek permanent residency.
During the fall semester, 12,138 students benefited from the law. Texas awarded about $33.6 million in state and institutional financial aid to those students between fall 2004 and summer 2008, according to the newspaper.
Gov. Rick Perry, who earlier this month won the GOP primary, supports the law aiding illegal immigrant students. Perry, in a recent debate, said the students are on the path to citizenship.Huh? Back the truck up, Bubba. They aren't "law-abiding". Our laws say that people need to stay OUT of America unless they apply properly and are granted permission to enter. If they are in our country in defiance of our laws, the only path that they need to be on is a path back across the border, either on their own or in an ICE bus with barred windows.
The Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas filed a challenge to the law in December.Wow--someone gets it. Let's hear that line again:
"It's not like we're swimming in budget surpluses," said coalition attorney David Rogers, who maintains that taxpayers suffer because of the law. "It's the responsibility of the government of Mexico to educate Mexican citizens."
"It's the responsibility of the government of Mexico to educate Mexican citizens."Fantastic! HE should be Governor of Texas.
University of Houston law professor Michael A. Olivas said federal law allows states to draft their own policies. "It is a matter for states to determine," said Olivas. "In-state status is a state issue."
Former legislator Rick Noriega, who sponsored the in-state tuition law, said that educating the students is an economic development issue.
"This is about access to higher education," said Noriega, now the president of Avance, a nonprofit organization that educates Hispanic parents on preparing children for school.
"The alternative is to slam the door on any hopes and dreams. How are they going to perform in high school if they don't even have a chance at higher education?" he said.
Again, the question isn't "how are they going to perform in [American] high schools...it's "why are they even in American high schools? Every kid there illegally and improperly dilutes the quality of education that our kids get...especially when the schools have to start repeating half of the lesson in Spanish every day. What is wrong with this picture?
According to this story from Washington State, three women presented another woman to the Border Patrol as a possible illegal alien in need of deportation, but instead of deportation, the suspected illegal was allowed to leave without her status being checked and the three women are now facing possible charges.
This is almost as bad as the case down in Arizona where an American ranch owner named Roger Barnett is now being sued in an American court by Mexicans illegally in our country because he scared them with a dog when he detained them for being on his land after they illegally entered our country.
Again, this man deserves a medal and these illegals need to do some time in a US jail for illegal entry before being deported right along with their MALDEF lawyer scum. There's no way that he should be paying out money to lawyers or worrying about losing his property and life savings to a bunch or criminal scum who aren't even supposed to be in our country.
Our immigration system isn't just broken any more...now it seems to be running backwards!
BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Three women believed a 28-year-old woman was having an affair with one of their boyfriends and came up with a plan to get rid of her by having her deported. Now ok, I'll grant you that snatching people up and detaining them is technically wrong, but when the subject of such a snatch is an illegal alien and when they're being grabbed for the purpose of surrendering them to the lawful authorities, I don't see a real bad thing happening here. And there's no way that she should have been able to walk away from the Border Patrol station if she was illegally here, and if she was illegally here, then the three women who brought her in deserve a medal, not criminal charges, IMHO.
A Bellingham police spokesman, Lt. Steve Felmley, said two of the women shoved the victim in a car Friday and took her to a Border Patrol station.
A Border Patrol agent, Michael Bermudez, on Monday said they took no one into custody and called police to deal with the women. The police spokesman said they don't ask crime victims whether they are in the country legally, so the 28-year-old is free.
Meanwhile, the three women are being investigated for unlawful imprisonment.
Felmley said, "I don't think this plan is working out the way they thought it would."

Free at last, free at last...Ramos and Compean are coming home!
Long overdue, but good news.
President Bush has finally done the right thing and commuted the sentences of former Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.
These men, as many of you doubtless will remember, were sent to prison for shooting a veteran drug smuggler in the ass when he resisted arrest and allegedly making false statements about what happened out there in the desert.
Ironically, that smuggler, Osvaldo Davila, was so repentant after this incident (for which he was not charged in return for his testimony against the agents) that he was caught smuggling half-ton loads of marijuana into our country on two more occasions! His no-good butt is finally in a US prison where it belongs, and for US Attorney Johnny Sutton to send agents into Mexico to find this scumbag and offer him immunity and a pass allowing him unrestricted border crossings into America, ostensibly for medical treatment, just so that he'd help nail two guys who were just doing their jobs and protecting America from Davila and other like him...well it boggles the mind.
Now this wasn't a full pardon. I have long argued that they should have been granted pardons. If I get to be President some day, they'll get pardons. (I'll also change the laws to allow our Border Protection forces to shoot ANY illegal border-crossers in the ass, but that's for another post.) But these guys should have got pardons, and they should have come two years ago, before they were even sent to prison for ridiculous terms. Where I come from, you don't crucify guys for doing a dirty, thankless and dangerous job just because they arguably make a minor mistake.
Kudos to President Bush for finally taking some action. His legacy would have been forever diminished in my opinion had he not done so. Granted, had he done the right thing two years ago, I'd have been lauding him ever since. As it was, much of my refusal to get involved in this past election to help McCain came from my disgust over his ignoring this matter. (The rest came from my disgust over McCain, but we can go there another time, too.)
Welcome home, my brothers. I know that it's too little, too late, but at least you're free.
And as to US Attorney Johnny Sutton... Well I don't usually resort to gutter talk, but in your case, it's appropriate: "Fuck you, you fucking fuck!"

President Bush pardons druggie rapper...so what about OUR guys?
What the Hell?
President Bush gave out a handful of pardons yesterday, and one of them went to a rapper loser named John Forte who was convicted of smuggling 1.4 million dollars of cocaine into our country.
As one who has participated in the fight to keep drugs off our streets, I have to give President Bush a big sarcastic "Thanks a lot" for that.
But the real injustice is that while this doper will be walking our streets again, two selfless veteran heroes of the US Border Patrol are still sitting in prison cells for doing their jobs and protecting America from drug smugglers like Forte. Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are serving 11- and 12-year federal prison sentences, respectively, for shooting an admitted drug smuggler who was caught crossing into our country with 743 pounds of marijuana and who then resisted arrest. As the men tell it, they shot Mexican national Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila southeast of El Paso three years ago after the suspect refused the agents' orders to stop. Wounded, Mr. Aldrete-Davila fled to Mexico, leaving behind the van containing the massive drug load.
Incredibly, federal authorities subsequently searched for and located Mr. Aldrete-Davila in Mexico and offered him immunity in exchange for his testimony against the border agents. He then filed a $5 million suit against the federal government for violating his civil rights.
On this man's testimony, the border agents were convicted by a federal jury on charges that included: assault with a dangerous weapon, lying about the incident and violating the alleged smuggler's Fourth Amendment right to be protected against illegal search and seizure.
Measnwhile, the drug-smuggler Aldrete-Davila, who was also given a border pass so that he could freely cross back into our country for medical treatment, used that pass to smuggle more drugs into our country. He was finally caught with another truckload of drugs on our soil and sentenced to prison himself.
This is wrong. It's also one of the reasons why I did little to help the McCain ticket or any other GOP candidate this year. And if they stay in prison after drug smuggler John Forte got pardoned, it'll be the reason that the GOP fights the 2010 and 2012 elections without me.
Now Ramos and Compean need to be pardoned, reinstated to the Border Patrol, and paid every penny of their lost wages back.
And in the meantime, if you readers want to help, contact the White House and ask that these two get the pardons that they deserve, and donate to their legal defense fund, which also supports their families while they're being held.

It's so hard to be an illegal alien trespasser sometimes...
Now if this don't make you madder than a Democrat watching Sarah Palin...
What's it going to take to get to the point where illegals who get hurt trying to invade our country are just turned over to Mexican authorities or transported directly to a Mexican hospital? But hey--it's only money. OUR money. Maria won't ever get a bill, much less pay it. We'll pay it. Or the hospital will have to eat it. And this goes on every single day, all along our border.
Are you paying attention, John McCain?
And this one frosts me, too.
Illegals refused to evacuate before hurricane
Claim government didn't do enough to assure aliens they wouldn't be deported
Hey Cucarachas! This is OUR country, not yours! We don't WANT you here. That's why we have laws against illegal entry and working without a taxpayer ID and a green card.
A Mexican woman broke her ankles early Tuesday scaling the border fence in Douglas. So we, the taxpayers and citizens of this country, pay money to build a border fence to keep foreign nationals, including drug runners and terrorists, from crossing into our country from Mexico. Maria the illegal alien thumbs her nose at our laws and our national sovereignty then climbs over the fence that we put up to keep her out and injures herself, and now we, the taxpayers, have to pay for her to get a helicopter ride and first-rate treatment at an American hospital. It just never ends.
At 2 a.m., a Border Patrol agent working near the international line east of the Douglas port of entry on Jefferson Avenue heard faint yelling for help, said Mike Scioli, Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman.
The agent found a woman who appeared to have injured her ankles. She was alone, he said.
The agent stabilized her and called for paramedics. When paramedics arrived, the 35-year-old woman from Guanajuato, Mexico, lost a pulse below her left ankle, prompting officials to call for a medical helicopter, Scioli said.
She was flown to University Medical Center in Tucson for treatment on the two broken ankles. Her condition is unknown.

Illegals refused to evacuate before hurricane
Claim government didn't do enough to assure aliens they wouldn't be deported
So they're now somehow "victims" because our government refused to pinky-swear not to send them back to their own countries as they sit around planning ways to evade our law enforcement officers. What do you want to bet that if one of these apartment buidlings full of illegals got flattened by the storm, we'd be sued by lawyers paid by the Mexican government who would argue that we breached some duty to these trespassers.
Illegal aliens decided to stay in New Orleans and tough out the storm, rather than board buses and trains and risk arrest by immigration authorities.
Even though officials promised not to check their status if they evacuated, many illegals did not accept the offer before Gustav struck, the Associated Press reported.
Carlos Mendoza, a 21-year-old Honduran, stayed behind with seven other people in a small apartment.
"We know that people died during Katrina, but we had no choice but to stay here," he told reporters. "Many stayed because of fear. I would say at least 50 percent of us."
Mendoza said he and his illegal alien friends feared arrest and deportation.
There are an estimated 30,000 illegal aliens in New Orleans, according to the AP report. The city became a hot zone for illegal immigration after hurricane Katrina left parts of it in ruins in 2005. A massive reconstruction effort attracted men from Mexico and Central America.
Pablo Alvarado, director of the National Day Labor Organizing Network, told reporters the recent crackdown on illegal immigration has made many aliens uneasy about the risks of traveling – even when offered free rides by authorities during an emergency evacuation.
"Moving around has become very difficult for undocumented workers," Alvarado said.
A day labor organizer with the New Orleans Workers Center for Racial Justice, Jacinta Gonzalez, said Hispanic communities have been scarred by increasing immigration raids and did not evacuate.
When they were told they would have to register to board the buses and trains, they grew more apprehensive. The procedure included ID wristbands to track evacuees by computer. Gonzalez said the officials didn't do enough to guarantee illegal aliens that they wouldn't be deported.
"The government didn't give people assurances that they would be returned to New Orleans," she said. "Just sending out press releases the day before the evacuation isn't going to work."
Honduran Santiago Gradiz, 61, accepted a ride to Houston with other illegal aliens. He told the AP they left early to avoid immigration checkpoints.
Gradiz and 10 friends have taken shelter in a one-bedroom apartment until they think it is safe to return. He said they are waiting for extra police and soldiers to leave New Orleans.
"Luckily I had some money from working the day before moving furniture," and was able to help pay costs of the trip, he told the AP.
Illegal alien Jose Gordillo, 50, said he and his sons braved the storm in their rental home.
"It's been a few weeks since we got work, so we didn't have the money to leave," Gordillo said. "I felt a little panicked during the storm, but with God's help we made it."
Hey Cucarachas! This is OUR country, not yours! We don't WANT you here. That's why we have laws against illegal entry and working without a taxpayer ID and a green card.

Two potential terrorists nabbed by Border Patrol in Mississippi
And this is why some of us want the borders secured.
If you've been following the Border Patrol's efforts to secure our borders and safeguard Americans, you might be aware that over the past two weeks they ran an operation called "Operation Uniforce". Operation Uniforce was conducted by a special Border Patrol task force targeting Interstate I-20 because federal agents believe it is a new corridor for smugglers to ferry illegal aliens to the East Coast. According to the Border Patrol, greater scrutiny of the I-10 corridor prompted smugglers to move further inland to I-20 — which is 800 miles from the Mexican border and smack in the middle of America's heartland.
Thus far, Operation Uniforce has lead to the apprehension of over 400 illegal aliens , a murder suspect from El Salvador, one kilogram of cocaine worth almost $80,000 and $7,052 U.S. currency was seized. But perhaps most alarmingly, while most of the illegal immigrants nabbed came from Mexico, two individuals from “special interest” countries — one Egyptian and the other a Palestinian from the West Bank — were also apprehended.
And that's why we need to secure our borders and control who comes in. Those who push the pro-illegal agenda like to pretend that Americans who want secure borders are racist or hate hispanics, but the truth is that we're trying to prevent ANYONE from coming in illegally without regard for their race or country of origin, and while we enthusiastically welcome legitimate law-abiding, productive immigrants from every country on the planet, we want to bar ANYONE from sneaking in under the radar without being medically screened and subjected to a background check and that includes gang members, previously deported criminals, carriers of infectious diseases and people with terrorist connections or sympathies who are coming here to kill some of us.
Kudos to ICE and state and local law enforcement officers who participated in this operation.

Border Patrol snags child molester. One illegal in ten a convicted criminal!
Good job, Border Patrol, but the story goes on to report the alarming statistic that indicates that ten percent-- one illegal in every ten--of the illegal border crossers apprehended are criminals that have already been arrested, tried, convicted and deported at least once.
Still think we don't need that border fence, President Bush? How about you, Lindsay Graham? Ted Kennedy? Bueller?
Child molester caught after re-entering U.S.
Arizona Daily Star
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.21.2007
A man convicted of child molestation in Florida was arrested this week by Border Patrol agents on the Tohono O'odham Reservation.
Agents apprehended a 24-year-old Mexican man about 6 p.m. Tuesday southwest of Sells as he tried to cross into the country illegally, said Richard DeWitt, spokesman for the agency's Tucson Sector.
A records check revealed Thursday that the man had been convicted in April 2006 of lewd and lascivious behavior with someone less than 12 years old in Highlands County, Fla., DeWitt said.
He had been previously deported this year out of El Paso, he said. The man will be processed for removal and charged criminally with re-entry of an aggravated felon, he said.
Border Patrol officials estimate that about 10 percent of the people they catch have criminal records. Recent data seem to bear that out.
From Oct. 1 through June 15, 31,152 — or 11 percent — of the 288,018 apprehensions made in the Tucson Sector were illegal entrants with criminal records, said DeWitt, citing the latest figures available.
During the same time in 2006, 28,592 — or 9 percent — of the 313,645 apprehended had criminal records, he said.
Still think we don't need that border fence, President Bush? How about you, Lindsay Graham? Ted Kennedy? Bueller?

And this is why I'm through supporting President Bush
The President recently told a group of hispanics at the White House that he's opposed to deporting illegal aliens from our country. source.
OK, that's fine. He just traded their possible support for mine, and I've been backing him almost unconditionally since his first day in office. But this issue is critical--crucial to the survival of this country, in my opinion--and if he's going to side with the invaders and trespassers against the rest of us, well he can do it without me from now on.
I really should have broken with him sooner. I should have renounced him when it became clear that his Justice Department's policy was going to be one where decent cops would suffer for any actions that they take against illegal aliens. Bush stood back while his US Attorney Johnny Sutton persecuted two Border Patrol agents for shooting a drug smuggler who was resisting arrest while trying to bring 750 pounds of drugs into our country. The smuggler got immunity and access to medical treatment in the US and turned around and got caught again bringing another truckload of drugs into our country even while our agents were on trial. And Sutton made this arrest go away and kept it from the courtroom to preserve his jihad against our officers. Largely due to this fraud, Sutton got his desired convictions and two good men went to prison for protecting America's border and trying to keep drugs out of our country.
Then Sutton went after a local Sheriff's Deputy. This case involved Edwards County, Texas Deputy Sheriff Guillermo F. Hernandez. He had stopped an SUV loaded with illegal aliens who had just crossed into our country, and the driver sped off, striking the deputy with the SUV. The deputy attempted to shoot out the vehicle tires and a bullet fragment hit one of the illegal aliens in the lip, not even seriously injuring her. That Deputy, rather than getting the support of this administration, just got a year in federal prison AND was ordered to PAY THE ILLEGAL $5,347 dollars. WTF? An illegal alien gets paid for an injury that she sustained while breaking our laws, invading our country, and resisting apprehension by our law enforcement? And she and the others are believed to still be in our country too. Sutton reportedly arranged for them to stay here after the trial as a reward for helping make his case instead of deporting them back to Mexico.
And President Bush has allowed this. Worse, he has refused to pardon the officers or tell Sutton to back off. He's sided with the illegal aliens over law-abiding US citizens and my law enforcement brothers And now he's telling the world that he won't support deportation of the illegals that are here taking jobs from Americans and driving up costs in our schools, hospitals, welfare offices and correctional facilities.
So I'm done supporting the man. I hate to do it, especially with the war still ongoing, but it doesn't help us to win the war overseas only to lose our country in the meantime. Hopefully the GOP runs someone strong on illegal immigration next year--someone like Duncan Hunter. Otherwise I'm not going to waste my time going to the polls on election day. Yes the Democrats will screw us and wreck this country every chance they get, but the GOP's current stance on illegals will accomplish the same thing and frankly I'd rather get hosed by a known enemy than someone that claimed to stand up for what I believe.

OK Mr. President... It's on you to do right by our guys.
Well we're down to the wire per this story on Fox's site. Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean, two good men, formerly United States Border Patrol Agents, are set to begin serving prison sentences for the non-fatal shooting of Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, a Mexican drug smuggler who resisted arrest and attempted to flee back into Mexico after being caught trying to enter the US with a vehicle packed with 750lbs of marijuana that had been intended for US streets and schoolyards.
While I won't say that the two agents--family men with distinguished records of service--did everything right, the fact is that I have a real problem with their going to prison over this, just like I have a problem with the US government sending FBI agents into Mexico to find Davila and offer him immunity from prosecution for drug smuggling and illegal entry into our country in exchange for his testimony against these agents. And as a result, Davila is now reportedly suing the United States--in our courts--for five million dollars. Hell, he brings drugs into our country and gets away with a mere bullet in the ass and now demands money from us American taxpayers? I'd love to see an American try that against the Mexican government after a skirmish with Mexican border guards in Mexico. Not only would he not have access to Mexican courts, but Mexico would be demanding his extradition on criminal charges as loudly as possible.
As it stands now, our guys were arrested, tried, convicted, fired, and now expected to go to the same prisons that real drug smugglers and illegal aliens belong in. For 12 years! What drug smuggler gets 12 years? Few that I'm aware of.
Well a number of Americans have protested, and two dozen legislators have joined them in calling for these two to either be pardoned by the President or allowed to remain free pending appeal. I'm adding my voice to the call and I'll be frank about it--as an American who values justice, and as a cop standing up for my brothers, I'm calling on President George W. Bush to pardon these two men immediately. I demand this and make my future support of the GOP conditional upon it's occurring. If President Bush lets my brothers go to prison for this, he and the rest of the GOP can forget about any money, campaign help, or even a vote from me in 2008. And that's my promise.
Free Ramos and Compean, Mr. President. Free them and I'm your guy in 2008. Or don't and your party goes it without me next year.
I know that I'm just one guy saying this, but think about it, Mr. President... do you really believe for a moment that I'm the only American who feels this way? You know that I'm not. So do the right thing. Free my brothers.
