Across America, Muslim activists imposing censorship on American students

Here we go again.

Another protest of a campus showing of the movie "American Sniper" by muslim students. This time in Maryland.

The University of Maryland announced it will postpone indefinitely an upcoming screening of “American Sniper” after Muslim students protested – calling the film Islamophobic, racist and nationalistic.

“American Sniper only perpetuates the spread of Islamophobia and is offensive to many Muslims around the world for good reason,” read a petition launched by the university’s Muslim Students Association. “This movie dehumanizes Muslim individuals, promotes the idea of senseless mass murder, and portrays negative and inaccurate stereotypes.”

The critically-acclaimed film about the life of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle was supposed to be screened May 6 and 7. It was “postponed” on April 22 by the university’s Student Entertainment Events (SEE).

This is not the first time that Muslims and their supporters have tried to silence the film.

In early April the University of Michigan canceled a campus screening only to later reverse that decision after a national uproar.

Similarly, when the film was shown at Eastern Michigan University, the Usual Suspects disrupted the showing.

Ahmed Abbas, earning his Ph.D. in psychology, Layali Alsadah, junior majoring in psychology, Jenna Hamed, senior majoring in apparel and textiles merchandise, and Sabreen Dari, junior majoring in psychology, worked with 35 other students to shut down the 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. showings of the Academy Award-winning film.

The protesters filed onto the stage under the screen and held up two signs. One read, “Is this your idea of dialogue?” and the other one had the definition of propaganda.

Hamed began speaking to the crowd about why the protesters where there.

“Do you want me to play a movie painting your people this way?” Hamed asked the crowd.

Department of Public Safety officers were called to escort the students out. According to Sergeant Shana Thompson, four students were arrested for disturbing the peace. They were released 40 minutes later and no charges were filed.

In March, they pulled this stunt at the University of Missouri and they're planning another protest on a campus in Texas.

Frankly, this is typical of the Left. No one is forcing anyone to watch this movie anywhere that it's being shown, but the Liberal Left--the ones who always claim to support "choice", are now demanding that NO ONE even have the choice to see this movie.

The Muslims Student Association said “American Sniper” creates a “dangerous climate for Muslim students and severely devalues the community atmosphere.”

The MSA said the only way to make the University of Maryland more inclusive and diverse is to prevent “American Sniper” from being shown on campus.

So there you go. You can't be trusted to make up your own mind. In the name of making mostly foreign students here feel safe and/or included, Americans have to accept restrictions on their right to choose (unless they are choosing to have an abortion) and we all have to accept censorship, with the foreign kids and their peers making the call.

Frankly, this is about as outrageous as a bunch of Japanese students coming to America in 1946 and demanding that no one be allowed to see a movie about Pearl Harbor.

well here's my suggestion to every muslim on an American campus who doesn't feel loved or welcomed: Either start working on your assimilation skills or just go back to whereever it is that you voluntarily came here from. I means, the last I checked, we no longer send our military abroad to kidnap muslim teens and force them to attend American universities.

Washington — New government documents suggest Dearborn is home to the second largest number of people suspected of links to terrorism by U.S. government agencies.

The Intercept, an online magazine, posted secret documents from the National Counterterrorism Center’s Directorate of Terrorist Identities that showed as of 2013, there are 20,800 Americans and permanent residents who are believed to be known or suspected terrorists. Document: Dearborn 2nd among U.S. cities with suspected terror ties

Naturally, Dearborn, MI, with it's massive muslim population, is #2 on the list, right behind New York City. And the spokesperson for islamic interests in the US, Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, says that the FBI should "stop focusing on Dearborn and sending FBI agents and informants into our community. It doesn't make sense."

Right. It's been known for decades that Dearborn is a hub of funding and support for Hamas, the old PLO, and pretty much every other group of transnational baddies that worship Mohammed and long for the destruction of western society and a global return to the twelfth century. But we should stop investigating them, and ignore incidences where they train to kill our police. and engage in gun battles with them.

And of course we should now apply that same sort of permissiveness and lack of oversight to all of the illegal alien drug gang members who want to come into our country, because anyone's mere wish to be here should trump the safety of our citizens and the integrity of our borders.

Whose country? Their country, obviously...and the Obama Administration is good with that so long as they get to rule whatever is left after the dirty bombs explode and the cartels turn our surviving cities into a bunch of little el Salvadors.

Another Day, Another Attack on America

This morning we awaken to find news of muslim mobs "spontaneously" attacking the US Embassy in Yemen, invading our compound and destroying our flag.

The one thing that I have been looking for in the news reports that doesn't seem to be there: reports of the US Marines attached to the embassy firing into the crowd of invaders and stacking their bodies up like sandbags. I mean, that's why our Marines have rifles and that's why our embassies have Marine details.

In another day and another time, this sort of invasion of sovereign US territory would have been tantamount to a declaration of war, and the Marines would have acted to protect US lives and property. But apparently they've been told to stand down and allow the attackers access to US soil, just like they were in 1979 in Tehran.

It's morning in America, my friends. However it's looking like the morning of November 4th, 1979 again. James Barack Carter Obama had better wake the hell up and tell his muslim pals that this stuff's either going to stop or be stopped by force. And I'm thinking that these muslims need to be reminded what happened the last time that they started chopping down American Embassy flagpoles back in 1801. Hell, Barbary Coast muslims are the reason President Jefferson and Congress created our Navy. I just wish that we had a President with the balls to send it back over there again and use it as the instrument of American policy abroad that it was intended to reinforce.

Heck, who am I kidding? Obama won't even cut short his campaigning and fundraising when American officials are being murdered and dragged through the streets. As America heads towards war Barry is heads to Las Vegas. That tells us all where his priorities lie.

The Arab Spring has sprung...on Obama

So let's see....

Egypt's government fell to the Muslim Brotherhood this past year, and the Obama Administration supported them. Yesterday they returned the favor by attacking our Embassy, invading our compound, and burning our nation's flag.

Libya also underwent a regime change, and without even bothering to ask Congress as our Constitution requires. Obama deployed military air assets and sent in advisors on the ground to help the insurgents win. And how did they show their gratitude? By coordinating with the other muslim extremists above and attacking our consulate, killing our Ambassador and three other Americans.

You see, Barry? This is why you need to ask others with more experience (Congress, for example) before making unilateral decisions about things that you don't understand and then patting yourself on the back for "going it alone". But the benefit of your decision to keep Congress out of your foreign policy military moves is that you personally own this one 100%, and now that it's all pear-shaped, you have no one else to share the blame with.

But in true Barry Obama/Hillary Clinton fashion, our government has responded quickly, issuing APOLOGIES to the muslims for offending them, even though we did absolutely nothing to incite these attacks.

Let me recap that: Two sovereign American compounds were attacked. Americans were murdered and our national Honor was insulted. And Obama responded with APOLOGIES!

There should have been a response from the American government all right, but it should have involved naval gunfire, airstrikes, and perhaps even a couple of Marine Divisions on the ground marching into a couple of capitol cities. You sand fleas want to get all big and bad? Fine. Let's see how you do with a large chunk of your nation's power grids and port facilities knocked out by our cruise missiles and stealth aircraft and a naval blockade of your coastlines until you remember who you're messing with here.

Sigh. The reality is that they know exactly who they are messing with. They know that Barry Obama, for all of his willingness to use the power of the US Government against us citizens here to make us live as he deems proper, would sooner sell his wife and daughters in the Sudanese slave markets than risk making the world muslim community angrier at him personally. And that last bit is important. Obama doesn't care if the world hates America as a nation; he has gone on record plenty of times hating it, too. Obama doesn't want the world hating him personally. It's always been all about him in his mind and that's how American foreign policy has been conducted since he took office. That's how we got to this point today and why it's only going to get worse for America until he's gone.

Not that I see anything particularly Reaganesque about Mitt Romney, but I do believe that he'll at least try to do what's right for our country instead of trying to protect his own reputation and legacy in the eyes of those abroad who hate us for who we are. November 6th cannot get here fast enough, and on that day, we send a message to the world about what kind of country we're going to be. On November seventh, the wold world will know that we've either rejected Obama's national self-loathing or affirmed it for all time. And if we affirm it, God help us, because we'll have just given the green light to every mud-hut-dweller with an AK-47 or bomb to come at us and attack our citizens without fear.

From this day forward, WMAL can kiss my ass.

There used to be a great radio station in Washington, DC. It was WMAL, AM 1270, and I listened to it every day. This station had a smashing line-up of conservative hosts, both local and syndicated. It was like a beacon of truth, broadcasting into the DC area.

However not once, but twice now, this station has caved in to pressure from local muslim interest groups and shown local hosts the door after they spoke too negatively too many times about radical islam.

The first time was a few years back. Late morning host Michael Graham was booted from the station after a concerted effort by CAIR, the Council of American Islamic Relations, which included threats of lawsuits, harassment of the station's advertising sponsors, and complaints to the FCC and Democrats in Congress who are friendly with CAIR despite it's ties to terrorist groups like Hamas.

Make no mistake about it. CAIR is no friend to America. Michael Graham knew this and said it enough that CAIR got him fired. Graham is now up in Boston, hosting a show on Boston's WTKK, 96.9 FM. He also writes a blog column which I have linked to over on the left side of this page for some time.

The backlash against WMAL when they dropped Graham at CAIR's insistence was huge. I, for one, still refuse to tune in during Graham's old time slot, which is now filled by Chris Core, a pretty decent guy otherwise.

Well now WMAL has decided to repeat that stupid move and boot another host for speaking out against radical islam's connections to terrorism, and this time the ceremonial victim is Fred Grandy, former Congressman and TV actor best known to some as Gopher on the old Love Boat TV show that my mother and many other old people used to watch. Grandy reportedly left his long-time morning 5A-9A drive-time slot yesterday after being pressured to stop talking about islam and after being told that his wife, known to many of us as "Mrs. Fred", was banned from his show.

I've listened to Fred Grandy every morning that I've been east of the Blue Ridge range for years and I've loved the mix of conservatism and humor that we got from Fred and his only recently-departed former co-host, Andy Parks, who was an outspoken critic of illegal aliens. Parks was replaced on what had been the "Grandy and Andy" show with Bryan Nehman, a lightweight political moderate who lacks the passion or the humor of either Parks or Grandy.

And now Grandy's gone too. And so is this formerly-faithful WMAL listener. When station management continually caves in to pressure from interest groups, particularly those who represent foreign entities like CAIR or Casa de Maryland, (the local taxpayer-funded illegal alien lobby), they certainly don't exhibit the resolve to stand up either for the interests of Americans or the First Amendment sufficient to warrant my support.

I doubt the bin Laden's going to recruit this idiot any time soon.

OK, this news story about a muslim who tried to firebomb a pub in Britain is about the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

I found the video on the London Muslim blog, and a bit of searching took me to this news story about it.

Amir Ali got eight years in prison for that stupidly-executed but serious crime, and the world gets another example of why muslims tend to be viewed with suspicion almost everywhere they go, except at American airports where--of course--they are not to be profiled or discriminated against...because the ACLU and CAIR say that it would be wrong somehow.

Can anyone explain that to me?

Are they ever going to stop? Why are all of these radical muslims even here? If they hate the West so much, why are so many of them in it these days?

Fake muslim convict causes a stir in Boulder, Colorado.

Maria Hardman, 19 years old, was sentenced to two days in the Boulder Jail and slated to serve those two days this past week-end. However, upon arriving at the jail, she appeared wearing a hijab, or muslim headscarf, and refused to take it off for the booking photo. She claims to have converted to islam three years ago when she was 16 years old, and is now holding herself out as some sort of victim and also a crusader on behalf of muslims everywhere. In her own video, which she's posted to Youtube, she speaks of how she's reached out to both the ACLU and CAIR, the Washington, DC-based lobbying organization/terrorist front-group, requesting their help. And like so many other privileged and sheltered little Boulderites, she claims that the problem here is a "lack of education" on the part of everyone else around her. She's so worldly at 19, and all of the adults with actual life experience are ignorant, at least in her view.

Well maybe the ACLU and CAIR can help her explain how she can really be a devout muslim when she engages in the activities that she boasted about on her public Facebook page (which she's now taken down and changed). On facebook, this "devout muslim" (and underage teenager) describes her favorite activities as:

"Activities: Running, Traveling, Hiking, Scootering, Reading, Cooking, Skiing, Horseback Riding, Hookahing, Partying and Lovin', Camping, Drinking, and 1 more"

"Interests: Traveling, Partying, Ummm See Above"

The page was also filled with gratuitous, casual profanity and self-authored references to "crazy/awesome nights" and partying. At one point, she even listed her status as: "permadrinkin ;)" with a self-reply of "Supposed to say 'permadrunkin'".

She sure sounds like a devout muslim to me...what do you think?

Oh--and the crime for which she was sentenced to the jail...Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Predictably, she has a defense to this one as well. She claims that she was given alcohol without her knowledge when, at a party, she sipped a glass of punch from a bowl that she did not know was spiked. Of course her credibility was further demolished by her BAC, which was 0.19, or over twice the legal limit of 0.08. To reach such a limit, she would have had to have consumed the equivalent of at least 10 shots, bottles of beer, or glasses of wine. That's not something that you can get from one cup of punch. But she's playing that down now, too. She laughingly tells everyone in her "feel sorry for me" video that she was sentenced to jail for "a bunch of traffic violations." She can't even be honest about her DWI when it's a matter of public knowledge.

Now the muslim community is trying to decide how to handle this hand grenade. Thanks to little Maria publicizing her little affair, they now have to rush in and defend a female who claims to observe their religion yet drinks, operates motor vehicles, and casually associates with non-family-member males.

Meanwhile, Maria has to go back before the judge to explain her non-cooperation. Here's hoping that the judge increases her sentence and gives her more time in jail just for being a self-absorbed drama queen and twit. In a perfect world, her over-indulgent parents would be forced to join her on the work crew for letting her get so screwed up.

I'm just saying...

Now that whack-job "pastor" Terry Jones has allegedly scrapped his plan to burn a Koran or two on 9/11 at the request of just about everybody, we now have the Olympic-class assholes over at the Westboro baptist "church" saying that they are going to burn a few, just for the attention.

And in keeping with the tenets of their "religion of peace", numerous radical 12th century goat-rapers (muslims) have sworn to kill whoever does this sort of thing.

OK, much as I hate muslim terrorists, I'm willing to take the position that if a few of them go all suicide-bomber and take out the whole inbred Phelps/Roper clan at Westboro, we can just let that one slide, provided, of course, that there are no survivors on either side.

US Government caves again and writes check to deported foreign law-breakers

Many of you may have missed this story in the wake of the terrorist murders of our troops at Ft. Hood, but it was reported last week that we're actually paying cash money to a group of muslims who were deported for violating our country's laws after 9/11.

Five men who were detained and deported following the Sept. 11 attacks have reached a $1.26 million settlement with the U.S. government.

The men sued the government over the roundups that put them in federal detention and the abuse they say they suffered while they were there.

They were among more than 170 Arab and Muslim men jailed for immigration law violations at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

A 2003 Department of Justice report found "significant problems" with the treatment of detainees there, including physical abuse and mistreatment.

An attorney for the men said she hoped the settlement would deter the government from similar roundups in the future.

The Department of Justice did not immediately comment.

So let's recap this:
1. 170 men who were in violation of our immigration laws--the laws that they agreed to obey when they asked to come into our country--were rounded up after the 9/11 attacks and deported.

2. The men happened to be muslims (just like the terrorists who killed so many Americans on 9/11).

3. The men were held in detention because they challenged our right to deport them and under US law, they were entitled to their day in court. They could have just left voluntarily, but they refused to do so.

4. They were finally ordered deported based upon whatever violations of our immigration laws that they had committed. Once they were deported, five of them turned around, found some scum-sucking lawyers, and sued, claiming that they were not treated like rock stars while in detention.

5. Rather than stand up and fight this on principle and send a message to the other 165 criminal deportees and other future deportees, the Justice Department just sent the five criminals (and their scumsucking lawyers) big checks.

Am I the only one who has a problem with this? And does anyone think that if they were anything other than muslims (or possibly hispanic), this lawsuit would even have been brought, much less settled? But only in America do we allow criminals and foreigners to set up lobbying organizations and pressure OUR elected officials and government agencies, usually with great success and to our collective detriment. My question to you--especially in light of recent events--is "Why?"

And another story on this issue sheds a bit more light on the "innocence" of these deported muslims:

Ehab Elmaghraby, a detainee who made similar claims in another lawsuit, settled his portion of that case for $300,000. He was held at the center for almost a year, and was deported in 2003 after pleading guilty to credit card fraud.

So much for the claim that they only got deported because of their religious beliefs. But it's still an abomination that this guy comes into our country, commits fraud (and probably identity theft as well, since the two crimes almost always go together) and when caught, he just gets sent home and paid three hundred thousand dollars.

If that's how it's going to work, someone please tell me where I can get a set of robes and a koran, a fake ID and a few credit card applications?

Northwest Airlines caves to radical Muslims...

But not to the Shekel blogger.


According to this article by the lovely and talented Deb Schlussel, a batch of radical Muslim Imams got bent out of shape when they arrived at a Northwest Airlines gate just twenty minutes before a scheduled flight departure and were not allowed to board the plane in accordance with Northwest's clearly-stated policies which provide that passengers for foreign flights must check in an hour before the flight and board half an hour before the flight. Anyone showing up late doesn't board even though the plane is still sitting there, as my friend, keeper of The Shekel blog found out when he was here visiting me a few months ago. I dropped HIM off at Northwest's Dulles terminal half an hour prior to departure of his flight to Toronto and they refused to let him board. I guess that he should have taken a towel out of his suitcase, made a funny hat out of it, and claimed to be a Muslim cleric. Then he would have either been allowed to board (and probably given a seat right next to the cockpit, knowing Northwest) or given financial compensation like these screaming twelfth century throwbacks were.

But my friend wasn't a Muslim so he just had to sit and watch his plane leave without him and wait for the next one, earning no small amount of wrath from his lovely wife (who reads this blog so I'll say no more) when he finally did arrive in Toronto several hours late.

It must be good to be a Muslim cleric sometimes. You get to bash America and Western Culture all day but the moment that it doesn't go your way, you call for boycotts, threaten lawsuits, and watch as American corporations amend their policies just to suit you and pay you money to boot.

Northwest Air, you're pathetic. You've already got the worst record in the industry for missed or delayed flight and lost baggage, and your union employees frequently bend you and your paying customers over as they jack up your flight schedules to extort more money from you (which you always pay), and now you cave to the people who brought us 9/11. Way to show the rest of us why we should fly any airline but Northwest, semi-official sponsor of HAMAS and other terror supporters.

So yesterday...

As I'm driving my father back to the airport, I see this red Lexus SUV come up on the left and pass us. The female passenger is all wrapped up in one of those black bedsheets known as a burkha. That's all well and good I suppose, but what really caught my eye was the personalized license plates on the Lexus. They read: "SHARIA".

"You've gotta be kidding me," I thought as it passed. I noticed that the driver was wearing a ball cap and sun glasses and it was obvious that he's a proponent of that silly fundamentalist Islamic code where women are property that can be beaten for any offense and stoned for adultery. The next question that came to my mind was "what's this guy doing here driving around in a Lexus?" I mean, one would think that if he really buys into that 12th century hokum seriously enough to put it on his tags and wrap his wife up like a blackened burrito, he'd be sitting in some middle eastern country right now, wiping his butt with his left hand and not drinking a beer after a hard day of oppressing women and hating western culture. But he's not there. He's here, taking advantage of the very western culture that his obviously beloved Islam is pledged to wipe out and doing quite well for himself by the looks of his Lexus.
One would think that he'd be celebrating America since he's here living the life, but sadly, muslims who come here typically don't want to integrate and be like us. All too often they want to keep their old ways and try to convert the countries that they move to into replicas of the pestholes that they left. That's one of the other tenets of Sharia, by the way. Conquest of infidel lands by conversion. France, Germany and England are learning all about that these days. There's no denying that we're next on their agenda.

The icing on the cake was watching as another SUV pulled alongside his at the next traffic light. The back of that one was covered with pro-Israel stickers. I actually took delight in watching that one pull ahead of the Sharia-mobile when the light changed and move over into the same lane. Sharia-boy couldn't have missed those bright blue and white stickers. Yay, Israel!
